Herbert Chapman, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026. He was born on October 1, 1940 in Wisconsin to parents Lawrence and Ruth Chapman.
He enjoyed horseback riding every Sunday at the farm and camping with his horses. He loved watching and reading his “Westerns”. He liked to bowl, mow his lawn and working at Crazy Horse campground after he retired. He was an avid Packer fan.
Herbert is survived by his wife Barb Chapman; son Robert (Terri) Chapman; daughters Mary (Larry) Kloepping, Lori (Dan) Moore; sister Delores Lutes and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law Larry Lutes and sister in laws Janet Hoff and Doris Ambs.
A visitation for Herbert will be held at the D.L. Newcomer Funeral home on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held the next day at the United Methodist Church in Brodhead, WI at 2:30PM, with a small visitation time starting at 2PM.
