Mary Timm, age 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 6, 2026. She was born on October 6, 1929, in Minneapolis, MN to parents Lloyd and Zelda TenEyck.
She was very much involved in Girl Scouts, Brodhead Jaycees and the Historical Society in Brodhead. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed nature, flowers, reading books and loved weaving. She loved her adventures in AZ and hiking in the desert. One of her biggest adventures was going to Egypt at 90 years old.
Mary is survived by her son Alan (Melissa) Timm; grandchildren Zachary (Ashley) Timm, Meghan (JR) Negus; great grandchildren Lydia, Ellis, Archer Timm and Phoebe, Miles and Nora Negus; sibling Tom (Joan) TenEyck; special niece Caryl Timm; and special friend Jill Austin.
She is preceded in death by her husband John D. Timm; son John P. Timm; sibling Jane Frederickson; and her parents.
A memorial service for Mary will be held at the DL Newcomer Funeral Home on Monday September 21, 2026, starting at 11AM. A visitation will be held beforehand from 9AM until service time.
