Rhonda J. Thostenson, 73, of Brodhead, WI, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026 at home.
She was born on March 15, 1953 in Viroqua, WI, the daughter of Leroy D. and Beverly J. (Frederickson) Suiter. Rhonda was a 1971 graduate of Parkview High School. She married Roy A. Thostenson on July 10, 1971 in Luther Valley Church.
Rhonda was formerly employed by Knilans Veterinary Clinic from 1971 until 1973, and later was employed by Walmart as a district manager from 1985 until 2005. She enjoyed traveling with family. Rhonda loved and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Roy; son, Jacob (Colleen) Thostenson of Brodhead; daughter, Angelina McCarten of Janesville; granddaughter, Morgan (Seth Miller) Thostenson of Brodhead, grandson, Nolan (Amelia Clarquist) McCarten of Janesville and granddaughter, Lydia McCarten of Janesville; brother, Dennis (Deb) Suiter of Beloit; sisters, Brenda Suiter of Mondovi and Lisa (Joe) Becherer of Brodhead.
She was predeceased by her parents; grandson, Grant Thostenson; and brother, Jeffrey Suiter.
A celebration of life for Rhonda will be held 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026 on the family farm.
