Brodhead, WI – Glen Oliver Deremo, age 89, passed away unexpectedly while at his home in Brodhead on July 14, 2026.
Glen was born in rural Brodhead, WI on January 29, 1937 the son of Arthur and Irene (Nolan) Deremo.   He later married his wife, Frances Langoehr on September 19, 1953 in Door County and she preceded him in death on April 10, 2017.
Glen worked for over 40 years before his retirement from Beloit Corporation in 1997.  He enjoyed playing euchre, cribbage and chess and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and his many grandchildren. Glen also attend many of his children and grandchildren’s sporting events over the years.  Glen was known as a tinkerer and he worked on many cars, bikes and lawn mowers with his children while they were growing up.
Glen is survived by his 11 children, Debra (Ken) Nyborg, Glenda (Rodney) Benton, Lance (Cindy) Deremo, Keith (Mary) Deremo, Jay (Meri) Deremo, Sheri Bennett, Bret (Cheryl Buss) Deremo, Lee Deremo, Joel Deremo, Penni (Alan) Bruce, Andy (Becca Dymzarov) Deremo; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 4 siblings, Bonna Adams, Betty Bordeau, Mike (Mona)Deremo and Lynn Deremo and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances; a grandson, Brad Shoemaker; a great grandson, Anthony Sanchez; two sons-in-law, Kenneth Bennett and Mike Lamb and 6 silbings, Daryl, Herb, Allen, Alice, Nan and Wayne.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family in Glen’s memory.
A celebration of life will be held at the Kelch Aviation Museum in Brodhead on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM.  Cremation rites have been accorded and Glen’s cremated remains will be buried on Friday at 1:30 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead.
The DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead is assisting the family with arrangements.
