With her family at her side Dolores Domek, age 90, of Brodhead, WI passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026. Dolores was born in June 1935, in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Emily Cerbin.

Dolores married Donald Domek in 1954, and they made their home in Brodhead, WI. Dolores found great satisfaction in giving back to her community. She was active in the St Rose Catholic Church, she was part of the Alter Society, was a Reader at Mass, and participated in a Bible study group. She served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader to her own children, and other young girls. Dolores enjoyed crocheting and was also an avid reader. She spread that love of reading by volunteering at the local elementary school working with children as part of an after-school reading improvement program. Dolores had several local jobs in the community but may be most remembered for her position at Reis Pharmacy

Family and friends know that Dolores was famous for her handwritten notes. These notes, which accompanied every Birthday and Christmas card that she sent you were anticipated, revered, and collected by family members. Those who knew her will remember her smile, her kindness, and her grace when faced with adversity.

She is survived by her three daughters Susan (Mark) Milks, Laura (Doug) Zettle and Julie (Terry) Hahn, and their families. After raising a household of girls Dolores, and her husband Don, were ecstatic when they welcomed five grandsons (finally boys!) to the family. Grant and Austin Milks, Steven and Cale Zettle, Jared Hahn, and one granddaughter, Jace Hahn. Dolores was blessed with two great grandchildren, Wyatt Zettle and Finley Milks. She is also survived by her brother Albert (Joyce) Cerbin and sister Marlene (Gerald) Krakowski. Dolores is also survived by many cousins who were very important to her. They were more than cousins, they were friends.

Dolores was proceeded in death by her husband of 58 years, Donald; by her brother-in-law and sister- in- law Robert and Helen Domek and her sister who died during childhood, Lorraine.

Visitation for Dolores will be held at the DL Newcomer Funeral Home on Monday, May 4, 2026 starting at 10AM to Noon, with a Memorial service to start immediately after.
