He was a proud graduate of Albany High School, where he laid the foundation for a life of hard work and perseverance. He furthered his education by earning an associate degree from Blackhawk Technical School, a testament to his commitment to lifelong learning and self-improvement. Following his education, George proudly served in the Army, a chapter of his life that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and responsibility. After his military service, he transitioned into a career as a machinist, where he applied his skills and work ethic to contribute to the industry and support his family. George was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, who was his partner and confidante throughout their years together. His memory will continue to live on in the heart of his only daughter, Shannon, who carries forward the legacy of love, strength, and resilience that he embodied. Outside of work and family, George was an active member of the Rice Lake Gun Club, where he cultivated friendships and shared his passion for shooting sports. He had a unique sense of humor and was affectionately known to friends and family as “Festus,” a nod to the beloved character from the classic television show *Gunsmoke*. His playful spirit and love for life were infectious, bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. George’s hobbies reflected his diverse interests; he loved animals, especially cats, and took great joy in collecting coins and guns. He was also an avid fan of science fiction and fantasy shows, with fondness for *Futurama* and *Grimm*, often sharing his enthusiasm and insights with his friends and family. As a member of his community, George touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity.
