(Elmhurst Independent, Feb. 9) The American Association of University (AAUW) Elmhurst Area Branch celebrated art history with a presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Elmhurst Public Library. Kristen Beirne, left, an art historian and College of DuPage faculty member, presented “Remarkable Renaissance & Baroque Women: Artists and Patrons.” Renee Oshinski, right, President of the Elmhurst Area Branch, introduced Beirne. In addition to her work in academia, Beirne is the President of the Downers Grove AAUW Branch and the recipient of a national AAUW fellowship.
