Jean M. Clark, age 78, of Brodhead, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the SSM Hospice Home in Monroe. She was born on January 20, 1947, in Monroe, the youngest child of Phillip and Mary (Bartlett) Kauk. Jean was a 1965 graduate of Albany High School.

On March 25, 1967, Jean wed Paul Clark at the Albany United Methodist Church. Their six month courtship turned into a loving marriage of 58 years.

Jean spent many years working for Burtness Chevrolet where she made lifelong friendships. She found joy in music and attending live performances and was an enthusiastic fan of high school and college sports. She also enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and exploring her family’s genealogy She had a special love for animals and birds—especially her beloved kitties. Above all else, Jean treasured her family and friends and was always a peaceful grounding place for them to turn to. Her life was richly blessed by relationships, faith, and the love and support of those around her

Jean is survived by her loving husband, Paul Clark of Brodhead; her daughters, Jacquelyn Wegner (Rod Sowders) of Milton and Kelli Clark (Joe Benash) of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Phillip Kauk Jr. and Richard Kauk; and her sisters, M. Kathryn Peterson and Phyllis Picket.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brodhead. A memorial service with Holy Communion will begin at 11:00 a.m., and a luncheon will be shared afterward.
